St. Louis and our National Foundation proudly give to women and their families in need. We support and educate women who want to start a business or need help in earning a living to better themselves and their families. In 2007, the St. Louis Chapter, gave a grant to A.L.I.V.E. Gemstone Care 
In general, when you buy natural gems and stones, as opposed to manufactured stones, you need to treat your jewelry with gentleness and respect, storing them in a soft environment.
Stones vary in composition as crystal formations, actual rock cutting, or organically grown stones that are soft and pourous. Any of these stones can have natural or incidental fractures that make them require one method of cleaning rather than another. Since there are so many stone compositions, we will give you resources not quidelines for care of your jewelry. Jewelry Supply for Supplies
Polishing Cloths, Ultrasonic Cleaners and Mild Soap and Water all have advantages and disadvantages. We prefer polishing cloths and mild soap and water with a soft toothbrush.
